Facebook Ads
Scores an advertiser by their activity in Meta's public Ad Library — active or not, how many ads, how long, which formats and which platforms.
What it isTemplate
A ready-made column. It opens the editor pre-filled, so you look it over once and hit Add.
InputWhat you give it
Paste Facebook page URLs (one per line)
facebook.com/stripe facebook.com/figma
The advertiser’s Facebook PAGE, not their website — Meta’s library is keyed on the page.
OutputWhat comes back
- Active advertiser, yes or no
- Ad count and longevity
- Format and platforms (Facebook, Instagram…)
| Page | Advertising | Ads | Longevity | Platforms |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| facebook.com/monday.com | yes | 418 | 2+ years | Facebook, Instagram, Messenger |
| facebook.com/attio | yes | 12 | 4 months | Facebook, Instagram |
| facebook.com/smallbakery | no | 0 | — | — |
Illustrative. Meta's library exposes what it chooses to, so absence is weaker evidence than presence.
How it worksTwo things you decide
- Map the advertiser columnA Facebook page URL, a handle, or a numeric page id all work.
- Keep concurrency lowA real browser opens per advertiser and loads two pages. This is not a knob to raise.
Limits — read this before you run it
Headless, no login. Meta's library covers the ads it chooses to expose, so absence is weaker evidence than presence. 1 action per row.
FAQQuestions people actually ask
What does an empty result mean?
Either no ads are running, or the page could not be matched. An advertiser with zero active ads is a real answer, not a failure.
Why is it slow?
A browser page load per advertiser. It is the price of the public library not having an API.
What does "Add run condition" do?
Skips rows where a condition on another column isn't met — e.g. only run if Email is empty. Skipped rows cost no actions, on both manual and auto runs.
What does "Auto-run on new rows" do?
Runs this column by itself whenever new rows arrive — no clicking Run. It only picks up new arrivals; rows already in the table when you turn it on are left alone. It only fires while the app is open — closing it pauses everything until you reopen.
