Google Maps
Search Google Maps across a whole city or region. Every place becomes a row — and a pin on the map.
What it isSource
Sources put rows into a table. This one is the starting point of a list, not a column on an existing one.
InputWhat you give it
A search — this one creates the rows rather than reading them.
OutputWhat comes back
- Name, rating and review count
- Category, address and phone
- Website and opening hours

How it worksFour things you decide
- Say what and whereA keyword and a place — "marketing agencies in London".
- Choose how deepLeave Area search blank for one fast search, around 120 places. Fill in a location and it grid-tiles the area around it instead, up to about 1,000, deduplicated as they land. A Google business category as the query — "dentist", "coffee shop" — tiles cleanest.
- Watch it fillRows stream in as Maps returns them: name and website first, then address and phone in a slower second pass.
- Enrich from thereEvery row now has a website, which is the input to Email finder, Tech stack and the rest.
Limits — read this before you run it
Runs in a built-in browser, no tabs. Most proxy IPs cannot load Maps — leave the proxy off unless a run comes back empty. Each new place costs 1 action; re-filling missing address or phone on existing rows is free.
FAQQuestions people actually ask
How many places can one search return?
Leave the area blank and you get a fast single search, around 120 places — that is where Maps stops serving one query. Fill in a location and it grid-tiles that area instead: many small searches around a centre point, deduplicated as they land, up to about 1,000 businesses in one run. Phone and address are backfilled on roughly the first 300 of them; Fill missing tops up the rest for free.
Why are some phone numbers and addresses missing?
Either the second pass has not finished, or the listing genuinely does not publish them. On a clean 78-place run today, all 78 had a website, 77 an address and 70 a phone; the rest simply do not list one. Re-filling the missing ones on existing rows is free.
Do I need a proxy?
No, and most proxy IPs cannot load Maps at all. Leave the proxy off unless a run comes back completely empty.
Does it use the Google Maps API?
No. It runs a real browser against Maps itself, so there is no API key, no quota and no per-request bill.
