Split cell
Splits one column into several — by a delimiter, by a regex, or by position. The new columns appear next to the source, and the source itself is never touched.

Illustrative. One column in, several out — on a separator you choose.
How it worksThree things you decide
- Pick the source columnWhatever holds the combined value: a full name, a 'Name - Title' string, an address.
- Choose the operatorBy delimiter for predictable separators, by regex when the separator varies, extract by regex when you want one piece rather than a split, or first N characters for fixed-width values.
- Choose the output shapeFirst part plus rest gives you two clean columns. All parts is right when the count varies and you want everything.
FAQQuestions people actually ask
What if rows split into different numbers of pieces?
Use first part plus rest. Splitting into all parts across ragged rows leaves columns that mean different things on different rows.
What does "Auto-run on new rows" do?
Runs this column by itself whenever new rows arrive — no clicking Run. It only picks up new arrivals; rows already in the table when you turn it on are left alone. It only fires while the app is open — closing it pauses everything until you reopen.
What does "Add run condition" do?
Skips rows where a condition on another column isn't met — e.g. only run if Email is empty. Skipped rows cost no actions, on both manual and auto runs.
