Move Manycrawl to a new computer

Install Manycrawl on the new computer and sign in with the same account. Your tables, columns and saved API keys come back by themselves. A few things stay on the old machine and take a minute to set up again.

Before you switch

  1. On the old computer, open Manycrawl and let it sync. The sync button in the sidebar says “Synced just now” when it is up to date. Click it to sync right away. Cloud sync is on by default.
  2. Check your plan’s device limit. The new computer counts as a device, and so would the Chrome extension if you use it (see Desktop app or Chrome extension). If your plan is full, free a slot first: Settings → Account & Devices → Registered Devices → Remove.

On the new computer

  1. Install the desktop app and sign in with the same account.
  2. Wait for your tables. They download automatically a moment after the app opens and keep syncing every few minutes. Your list of tables can appear before the rows inside them do, so give large tables time. The sidebar sync button shows “Syncing…”, then “Synced just now”. If it says “Sync failed” and a reason, click it to retry.
  3. Check Settings. Your saved API keys for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI, Findymail, Icypeas, Manyreach, Cloudflare and TypeSafe are restored from your account.
  4. Large page content, such as scraped text, loads when you open the row that holds it, not all at once.

What you need to set up again

These live on the computer, not in your account:

  • Logins inside Manycrawl’s own browser, for Apollo, Facebook, LinkedIn and Reddit, and any site you read behind a login. Sign in once on the new computer. Google may also ask you to accept its consent notice again.
  • Your proxy, if you use one.
  • Connect Claude Desktop or Connect Codex in Settings, and the claude or codex sign-in in a terminal, if you use those columns (see Claude Code or Codex column not running).

If the new computer says “Device limit reached”

Your plan is full. Use Reset all devices & use this one on that screen. It asks “This will sign out all other devices and register only this one. Continue?” If you can still reach Settings on the old computer, removing just the old device there is gentler: Settings → Account & Devices → Registered Devices → Remove.

If a table looks empty

  • Wait and look at the sync button. Tables sync before their rows, so a table can show 0 rows for a short while. If it says “Sync failed”, click it to retry.
  • Sign out and back in. The sign-out button is at the bottom of the sidebar.
  • Tables missing after a refresh? Open Settings → Data Management and use Find & recover local tables.
  • Do not use Reset Database in Data Management’s Danger Zone. It deletes local data.

Anything that never synced stays on the old computer, so keep it until you have checked your tables on the new one. The old computer keeps its own copy of everything it had.

Storage: synced data counts against your plan’s cloud storage, shown as a meter in Settings → Data Management. The Free plan includes 500 MB.
