Apollo: scrape a People or Companies search
You build a search in Apollo’s own screen, inside Manycrawl’s browser, and Manycrawl turns the results into table rows. It does not unlock emails, so it spends no Apollo credits. It needs the desktop app and an Apollo account.
Scrape a search
- On Home, under Sources, choose Apollo (People & Companies). Name the table if you like.
- Click Open Apollo & build your search. An Apollo window opens.
- Log in to Apollo with your email and password (see below). You only need to do this once.
- In Apollo, go to Search → People or Companies and set your filters. The bar at the top of the window shows roughly how many results match.
- Choose Leads, the number you want, and click Scrape this view.
Manycrawl works out whether it is a People or a Companies search, reads the pages in turn, and fills the table. You can wait up to fifteen minutes in the Apollo window before choosing.
Scrape from a saved search address
Under Advanced — paste a saved search URL, paste the address of an Apollo People or Companies search, set Max leads (25 to 2000, default 500) and click Create & run from URL. In Apollo, set your filters first and copy the address from the browser’s address bar.
Logging in
- Use Apollo’s email and password form. Google, Microsoft and Apple sign-in do not work inside app windows. If you have no Apollo password, use “Forgot password?” once to set one.
- The login is kept for your Manycrawl account on this computer. After an update that changes how logins are stored, you may need to log in once more.
What you get
People: Name, First Name, Last Name, Title, Headline, LinkedIn, Email, Email Status, Phone, City, State, Country, Company, Company Domain, Company Website, Company LinkedIn, Industry, Recorded and ApolloId.
Companies: Name, Domain, Website, LinkedIn, Phone, Industry, Keywords, Employees, Revenue, Founded, City, State, Country, SIC, NAICS, Crunchbase, Twitter, Facebook, Recorded and ApolloId.
The Email column stays empty, because Apollo keeps emails locked until you spend its credits. To find emails another way, use Find emails on each website on the company’s website.
Limits
- Apollo serves roughly 1,000 to 2,000 results for one search, in pages of 25. Manycrawl stops at 2,000 leads.
- Each new row is one Manycrawl action. Rows are de-duplicated by Apollo’s own id.
- Manycrawl pauses a couple of seconds between pages to be gentle.
- A table is a one-off. Scrape more reopens Apollo so you can add another search.
If it doesn’t work
- “Apollo login not completed”: you closed the window or did not log in. Start again.
- “No search selected”: the window closed or timed out before you clicked Scrape this view.
- “Open a People or Companies search first”: you were not on a search page. Go to Search → People or Companies.
- “Paste an Apollo People- or Company-search URL”: the address does not look like an Apollo search.
