Import a CSV
Already have a list in a file or a CRM export? Import it as a table, then enrich it. Importing is free: it never uses any of your monthly actions.
Import a file as a new table
- On the home screen, choose the Import CSV card (“Bring a list from your CRM or a file”).
- Click the box that says Click or drag a CSV file here, or drop your file on it. Every column in your file is kept.
- Check the Preview, which shows the first 10 rows.
- Optional: under URL column (optional), choose the column that holds website addresses, if you plan to scrape or enrich them.
- Click Import. You see “Imported N rows.” The table is named after your file.
Rules for the file
- It must end in .csv. Other file types are ignored, and a dropped file of another type shows “Please drop a CSV file.”
- Commas separate the columns. Manycrawl does not detect semicolons or tabs. If your whole row lands in one column, re-save the file with commas.
- The first row is the header. Rows that are completely empty are dropped.
- Quotes and line breaks inside cells are handled properly.
- Nothing is removed as a duplicate. Clean duplicates in your file first.
The URL column
Manycrawl uses this column as each row’s web address only when the value starts with http:// or https://. A bare domain like example.com is not treated as an address, and the row gets a placeholder id instead. If your file has bare domains, add https:// in front, or pick the column later when you add an enrichment that asks for a website column.
Add a file to a table you already have
- Open the table and choose ⋯ → Import data. The panel is titled Import data into this table.
- Under Map to existing columns, match each table column with a column from your file, or leave it on — Skip. Manycrawl matches by name automatically. The URL column is matched from headers that contain url, link, website or domain.
- Click Import. You see “Imported N row(s).” No new columns are created, so a file column you do not map is not imported.
Other ways to start
- Add data manually and Empty table cards on the home screen. The empty table has 5 rows and five text columns, Text A to Text E.
- At the bottom of an open table, Add rows adds between 1 and 500 empty rows.
