Find a person's email with Findymail or Icypeas
When a company’s website does not publish an address, these columns look up a work email for a person. They use your own Findymail or Icypeas account, so the provider bills you directly, and each row also counts as one Manycrawl action.
Which column to use
| You have | Use | Key |
|---|---|---|
| A company website and a job role, like “CEO” | Find email by domain | Findymail |
| A LinkedIn profile address | Find email by LinkedIn | Findymail |
| A person’s name and their company’s domain | Find email by name | Findymail, Icypeas, or both |
To add a key, click Integrations in the sidebar and open Findymail or Icypeas. See Which API keys do I need?
Find email by domain
- Click Enrichment and choose Find email by domain.
- Under Domain from, pick the column with the company’s website. A full address is reduced to its domain.
- Under Roles, type up to three roles separated by commas, for example “CEO, Founder”. Both fields are required.
The cell shows the first contact’s email. If nobody with that role is known for the domain, or the address could not be verified, the cell says No email found. Findymail holds back guesses it cannot verify.
Find email by LinkedIn
Pick the column that holds LinkedIn profile addresses (for example https://linkedin.com/in/…) under LinkedIn URL from. It uses Findymail only.
Find email by name
- Map Full name from, or both First name from and Last name from, and Domain from.
- Under Providers, tick Findymail (needs the full name, or first and last, plus the domain), Icypeas (needs first and last name plus the domain), or both.
- If you tick both, choose the Usage order. Pick Findymail → Icypeas if you want Icypeas as the second try when Findymail finds nothing.
The cell holds the email. A hidden detail records which provider found it.
How they run
- Rows run one after another, with a short pause between them. Icypeas rows are sent together as one batch at the end, at one batch per second.
- The columns cannot promise a result. Many people simply have no findable address.
- Run a few rows first, so you can see how many come back before you spend credits on a full table. See Control what a run costs.
Messages you may see
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| “No email found” | The provider had no address for that row. |
| “No domain”, “No LinkedIn URL”, “Missing domain” | The input cell is empty, so the row was skipped. |
| “Not enough credits” | Your Findymail account is out of credits. |
| “Subscription is paused” | Your Findymail subscription is paused. |
| “Too many requests; try again later” | The provider is rate-limiting you. Run again in a moment. |
| “At least one API key is required…” | Add a Findymail or Icypeas key for the providers you ticked. |
| “Provider has N accounts and none is set as default” | In Integrations, open the provider and choose a default account. |
