Control what a run costs

Each row an enrichment processes can use one action, and on the Free plan you have 500 a month. These tools make sure a column only runs on the rows you want, and let you stop one that has started.

1. Try a few rows first

Open the column’s ▶ run menu and choose Run first 10 rows. If a filter is on, the menu says Run first 10 of N filtered, or Run now (N filtered) when fewer rows are left. Check the results, then run the rest.

2. Filter the rows

Enrichments run only on the rows you can see. Click Filter, add a condition, and the rest are left alone. The panel says it plainly: “enrichments will run only on matching rows.”

  • Each condition has a column, an operator and a value. Operators include contains, does not contain, is, is not, starts with, ends with, is greater than, is less than, is empty and is not empty.
  • + Add filter adds another condition. The And / Or choice applies to the whole group, and + Add filter group nests a second group.
  • A badge on the Filter button counts your active conditions. ✕ Clear filters removes them.
  • For a whole-row check, choose the special column that offers failed on any column, failed on no column, is fully enriched and is not fully enriched.

Saved views such as Errored rows and Fully enriched rows are quick filters you can reuse. Default view shows everything.

Ticking row checkboxes does not limit a run. Checkboxes are for deleting rows. To run on some rows only, filter them.

3. Add a run condition

A run condition lives in one column and skips rows that do not qualify. Skipped rows cost no actions.

  1. Open the column to edit it and find the Automation section.
  2. Tick Add run condition.
  3. Complete the sentence: Only run if [a column] [is found, is empty, contains, does not contain, equals or does not equal] [a value]. Matching ignores upper and lower case.

Skipped cells read Condition not met, and the log says how many rows qualified and how many were skipped. A common use is “Only run if Website is found”, so rows without a website are never processed.

4. Finish what’s left

The ▶ run menu also has Run N rows not done yet (new, failed or missing input). It picks up rows that never ran or failed. It works on the whole table and ignores your filter. When nothing is left, the item reads Every row is done.

5. Stop a run

The bar at the bottom shows progress. Click Stop to stop after the current step; press it again to force it. Rows already done are kept. Afterwards the button becomes Resume or Continue. Log opens the activity log.

Watch out for auto-run

A column’s ⚡ Auto-run on new rows setting, in the same Automation section, runs the column on every new row that arrives. That is convenient for monitors, and it spends actions every time a row is added. Pair it with a run condition.
