CSV export is incomplete or looks misaligned

Almost every “my export is wrong” comes down to one of the causes below. Find what looks wrong in your file, then use the fix beside it.

What you seeWhyWhat to do
The long text columns (Body text, Main content, HTML) are missingThey are left out of the plain CSV on purpose, because they make the file huge.Export again with CSV with page text.
Fewer rows than the table hasThe export includes only the rows that match your filter or search.Clear the filter (✕ Clear filters) and the search box, then export. Ticked row checkboxes do not matter.
Rows are missing because a run is still goingRows still being added are not in the file yet.Wait for the run bar to finish, or press Stop, then export.
Columns you hid still appearHiding a column only hides it on screen. Export includes every column.Delete those columns in your spreadsheet.
A cell shows “ | ” between values, or ends in “…+N more”Cells that hold several values are joined with “ | ”, up to 20 values.Split the cell in your spreadsheet. For very long lists, use Split cell in Manycrawl first.
A cell ends in “[truncated]”Cells over 32,000 characters are cut off in the CSV.Shorten the source text, or keep the page text out of the table.
The first column is a long code, not 1, 2, 3It is the internal record id.Delete it, or ignore it.
Everything is in one column in ExcelSome Excel setups expect semicolons instead of commas.Use Data → From Text/CSV and choose comma as the delimiter. Google Sheets: File → Import.
Accents look brokenThe file is UTF-8.When importing, choose UTF-8 as the file encoding.
The file only says “No data to export”No rows were showing when you exported.Clear the filter, then export again.

Still wrong?

Send support the table’s filter (a screenshot is fine), how many rows you expected, and the first few lines of the file with any personal data removed. Open the Activity log and use Copy log right after the export; it records whether page-text columns were left out.
